Fluid mechanics

Reference of pressure measurement

My book:-https://imojo.in/unitech108
  1. Absolute pressure/ actual pressure
  •  The pressure of the system measured from zero level/ perfect vacuum/ absolute zero pressure is called absolute pressure
  • absolute pressure measured by the "Android meter"
2. Gauge pressure

  • positive guage pressure=The net pressure of system above the atmospheric pressure is cal toled positive gauge pressure
  • Negative guage pressure /suction pressure/ vacuum pressure= the net pressure of system below the atmospheric pressure is called suction pressure
Note
  • guage pressure is measured by the manometer device
  • negative reading not possible in absolute system
  • atmospheric pressure in space reading will be zero
  • reaction between absolute pressure atmospheric pressure and gauge pressure
P(absolute)=P(atmosphere)+P(gauge)
Q.determine the cause pressure for 14.3 of H2O
